Join us for the first session of «Women in Iranian Cinema» movie nights. In support of the Women, Life, Freedom movement in Iran, we are holding this series of events to show some of the so many discriminations women have been facing for a long time in Iran and to gain a better understanding of what rights they are fighting for right now.In the first session, the movie “I’m Taraneh, 15”, directed by Rasul Sadr Ameli, will be displayed. In this movie, Taraneh (played by Taraneh Alodoosti) is a 15 years old girl, whose mom has passed away and her dad is doing time in jail. She’s fighting for a brighter future but her life will turn upside down after she gets divorced out of her marriage, left single and pregnant and is struggling to raise her baby in a society that condemns her. After watching the movie, there will be a chance to discuss the movie and the social difficulties displayed in it, and also to chat with friends, get to know new like minded people and enforce your social support group.
